I think the effective way to introduce cryptocurrency to other person or a newbie is by showing how i could i earn money with it and where i can used it because he definitely will have an interest to it, when it comes to earning money. I also don't want to waste a lot of time explaining to him more about crypto because he can simply have a research about it in the internet and watch videos about it too.
that is bad i guess becaue if you say directly that crypto is about money making , they will get disapointed easily if they failed to earn a profit but if you will only be honest and tell them that crypto is mainly used for paying purposes they will not take it seriosly which wont gave them a room for disapointment because they will only use it as alternative to fiats mostly for only sites and some on offline purchase today .
only tell the key points and they will learn on thier own with the help of online researching .
