Altcoin pumping in 2017 was not bitcoin halving effect, i'm sure it's because many investors are investing in altcoin and ICOs that's why altcoin's price was going crazy even the ETH was surpassing bitcoin at that time. So i think right now people are already losing interest with altcoin and cryptocurrency need something new to show if want to hook investors back.

altcoin offers a good opportunity at that time after bitcoin is very saturated entering the highest price zone. they are interrelated because they strengthen the volume of transactions with each other. The Halving effect becomes the initial active trigger of the altseason.
