i doubt that he really meant peace because if that is what he wanted then there should no killing happens,as he knew the retaliation will happen knowing how Iranian Governments stands in each War they have.

and why is it very timely?that in the heat of impeachment the decision has been made?purely diversionary .

In the light of possible impeachment, such a decision does look like a distraction or even an attempt to collect more votes in its favour
