What will happen if crypto vanishes overnight or due to some or the other reason if crypto becomes inaccessible to public? I know this does not make sense as crypto will not vanish but still what if it happens? What about those huge chunk of investments made by whales and other investors?

I've had similar nightmares before, and what I console myself with most of the time is: Am I even real? What if I disappear tomorrow or wake up not remembering my entire past like it disappeared?

The truth about virtual investments is that it's risky, involves rigor, and intellectual stamina. If crypto would disappear someday, certainly savvy investors or the so called whales would preempt such an event or worst, insulate themselves from whatever catastrophe may result. The only people who will truly get hurt, are the ones that are neck deep and in crypto and have no current alternative source of livelihood. Like the guy who sold his house to buy bitcoin - biggest gamble ever.
