I don't understand why this phrase has been repeated over and over again on this forum. No, house does not always win the battle with a particular player. Ever heard of lottery jackpot winners? Do you think the house took advantage of them too? It's true that some of them lose the money to gambling shortly afterwards, but not necessarily to the same house, because not all casinos, online and land based ones, belong to one person or group. And, in some cases, the jackpot winners don't lose anything from the prize to gambling.

In short, whether someone gambles often or not, it would be wrong to say that he/she is destined to lose to the house anyway.

If it was that house always win and he players always lose, then we would have seen the gambling business shutdown because no one wants to invest their money in dead pool. But thing is that there are chances that players do win and this give us hope and because of this hope we all bet / gamble and try our luck.
