I do agree because there are people who have lost a lot in gambling and they just feel like they should suggest others to not repeat the same, this I believe is the reason for so many stop gambling threads.

Much better to advise them on how to deal with gambling and give them tips, instead of stopping them. They are the only ones who can decide when to stop.

But then there are people who are new to gambling and if they somehow read 1 of these "stop gambling" thread at least they would be more conscious about gambling and more controlled. I often talk to my gambler friends and they tell me that if at starting you know how dangerous a simple gambling habit can be, you will be much more controlled and easier to get out of it.
