I have developed the skill of recognizing patterns in charts by learning from books. I am familiar with candle stick pattern recognizing and line chart patterns too. It would be highly recommended to start with candle stick pattern recognizing as it would be easier to understand how markets is being recorded as a chart.

Yes, for those who are new to reading charts, I would definitely suggest youtube over books, of course how you can learn something IS affected by how you learn as well, some people learn better by writing, some by doing, some by reading, some by listening and so forth but the youtube video ones are a lot better because they literally SHOW you how it works and that is much better than trying to figure out how to do it yourself.

I can't offer you any examples because I used videos on my language but I am sure you can find plenty in English and probably some in your own language as well. Make sure you find multiple ones and compare them to each other as well since most of them are usually different from each other and you can find differences between them.
