Ethereum is a good project with lots of awesome usecases if no the best cryptocurrency projects out there. It's Usecases gave birth to a new revolution of blockchain technology making it available to even the common people. With ethereum smart contracts and DApps infrastructure, even a person with little know-how of blockchain technology would be able to utilize the tech. With time i believe ethereum as a project can achieve impressive and great success but not any time soon.

Ethereum cannot do smart contracts, it cannot do trust minimized transactions, it's literally pre-bitcoin era technology. At least some altcoins experiment with interesting ideas without giving up trust minimization for profit like idiots like Vitaliks Bitconners Onecoins do.
