Re: HASHWallet by eSignus - Most Secure, Non-Programmable Hardware Wallet - WYSIWYS

The wallets generation process is deterministic so once you know the master seed all the wallets tree can be generated. Our wallets generation process will be open, so anyone can use it, but being open does not mean that it will compatible with other wallets. Nowadays there are several coins not supported by any hardwallet, we want to correct that but this will mean not be compatible with present wallets.

As anyone can decide to leave HASHWallet we will offer a migration tool so you can use any other wallet if you decide that.

I see this as security risk.
Any kind of 'migration tool' and centralized protection of seed can potentially be hacked.
Not to mention that we need some extra tool just to export seed.

We do not have centralized protection of seed. The user is who stores the encrypted seed in the Security Seed NFC card, and of course, if you want you can store the encryption key too instead of leaving it in the eSignus Vault. But don’t you think than storing together the encrypted seed and the encryption key in the same place will be the security risk. It is better to store both apart. If the eSignus Vault will be cracked, the crackers will have a bunch of unrelated OTP (One Time Pad) encryption keys related to unknown encrypted keys and that worths nothing.

Regarding the migration tool, each developer has a different algorithm to generate the deterministic wallets (some only have single wallets) so although they more or less follow the BIP32/44 standard it is really difficult to export the wallet tree due to the no compatibility among hardware wallets, so the only way to do this is transferring each account and that is what we mean as a migration tool. Something that is offered by nobody so you are treated as a hostage by your hardware wallet.
