In a land-based casino you are surely more inclined to drinking more alcohol, smoking more cigarettes and making higher bets than when sitting at home and gambling online. I'm not trying to say that you can't drink, smoke and risk amounts you can't afford while playing from home, but this is less likely, imo.

Regarding theft, it's unrelated to gambling. You either do it or you don't, regardless of whether you are poor, rich, gambler or a Catholic priest.
