Yes, there's not that much different for the addiction of gambling and other types of addiction. The effect is the same and bad habits will remain bad habits be it for gambling or not.

Every gambler is eager to win and that's why we gamble because we want to win. I haven't seen a gambler who's eager to lose or if there is, I forgot it.
