except manufacturer fw is proven to find blocks - not a single fw other than manufacturer fw has taken the time to prove it finds blocks - they simply tell the consumers to d/l it and test it themselves. as the creators of the fw - the first thing that should be shown is that it finds blocks.
Proven by whom? Nobody is stopping you from proving it. All the open source code used by Braiins OS is shared back, since cgminer was replaced with BOSminer (also open source) that means OpenWrt.
You keep telling others how to do it, yet you don't. But hey, Kano is a pool operator, so he could do it with you. Yet it must be more fun to keep asking "somebody" else to do it.
So, move your farm to Braiins OS, point it to Kano's and ask him if its finding blocks. But he will tell you to go away because its not proven it can find blocks.
Catch 22.
I bet you wouldn't trust anything Slushpool says either so i still fail to see the point of nagging others.
You have the code, you have the pool, so go test it yourselves.
Why does someone else have to prove the software works?
Seriously - why?
If you write software to mine on miners, then you make sure the software you write actually works.
I have no idea why you think that isn't necessary.
Is it considered OK to write software that doesn't work and not test it?
Should Core distribute Bitcoin and not test it works handling blocks?
Would that be considered OK in your opinion?
Are you some sort of ck fan?
He likes to write software and not test it ... and lose blocks.
He's done it multiple times on his pool.
By the way, as you clearly have no idea about any of this, did you know that cgminer won't failover on ckpool?
Failover code doesn't work ... and hasn't for many years ...
I don't think it will failover on any other pool either, but it wont failover on ckpool - since back when he added stratum to cgminer - coz he never tested it after he coded that change

The reason why miners do failover is coz they restart cgminer, not coz cgminer will failover to the 2nd pool when the first pool stops working

That's why there's a delay for the failover to happen, it's the separate job in the miner that detect shares/work isn't happening and restarts cgminer.
Yeah he really is crap at testing software also.
Now as for trusting slush ...
You know their "Hash Rate Proof" ... it's not valid.
It only proves a lower limit on the hash rate.
If they have large miners on the pool, finding blocks and slush allowing them to not report them so that not everyone gets a share, then the so called "Hash Rate Proof" allows that to happen.
What this would mean is people getting payed lower than they should ... and since 'some' people seem to think they should blindly trust slush after their bad history of ripping off miners ... lulz ...
But slush has gotta pay for their ~100 member team somehow
