I don't mind so much lack of support for many shitcoins, but if BitHD wants to compete with brands like Trezor and Ledger they need to provide PC connection.

However, I agree with you, it is important now.
In future it may not be that necessary. And this wallet has an interesting format, it is like a mobile hardware wallet. It is possible that they are thinking about the future when we will be carrying bitcoins like a credit card, and keep most of our btc stash in safety at home in a trezor or ledger device
