Yes, because some might send him anything like suspicious links or anything to get his wallet, but he seems not worried at all mentioning the amount of bitcoin inside of wallet because as he said, he is working in a security team.

Due to Corona'r effect, people start selling bitcoin and altcoin. Maybe that's the reason behind dumping. But bitcoin halving is occurred. So can be expect pumping.

It's possible, or there are other more reasons behind this sudden dump.

But all in all, OP should not regret for not selling his btc, the bull run is yet to come, and it is better to put his btc to safety like in hardware wallet. It is much better than thinking of his regrets.
