Im from Venezuela sir, and thanks to Socialism I really hate free stuff and handouts, for me its shameful begging for money, but poverty teach people really tough lessons on pride and humbleness. You say people can "easily" get 5-10 USD begging and its not that easy, some people almost ask for a screenshot of your broken house or life to proof you are poor, I understand there is scams everywhere but talking about poverty is tough, most people here in Venezuela were not poor, we have more than 21 years living and breathing socialism.
