It is true that we should not invest just because there is someone popular or someone you know invited or give you an influence to invest. This is totally wrong, you should at least investigate and make your own research whether it is good to invest or not.

Been there, done that and honestly I've never regretted investing on those projects because of the lesson they have thought me. What I learned is to dig deep the information behind those front pages they got, I bet most of the investors didn't read the entirety of the whitepaper that includes everything and you can easily notice on whitepaper whose work is just a copied paper, it's funny how whitepapers are very similar on scam projects now.
