I remember I've been doing this before buying a coin that I think will have value someday and with low supply but in the end I feel so disappointed with the coins I bought .the owner of the project abandoned it and there is no way I could sell it again after years of waiting, because the coins I bough that year is already been delisted in exchange because of low volume.

I do agree, this won't work anymore nowadays. Most of the time, developers will abandon the project in a year or two. There will be no development after that and the price of the coin will continue to decrease until every investor will also leave it behind.

The best way to do is to analyze the project, see if it has good liquidity, and observe it in the market. See for yourself if you can make a profit from this investment.
