I hate pocket Aces. Every time I get them I lose, unless I go all-in right away. Yesterday was no different. I didn't want to go all-in in the beginning of the game, so I just raised a bit pre-flop, and was called by Goethe and SuckMyChips. Then I raised almost 10 BB after the flop, thought it would be enough for the villains to fold, but this was what happened:
Probably Goethe decided to bluff, and SuckMyChips ... well, I thought he had had pocket Js, 7s or 9s, so I folded. (I'm dying to know what he really had though.

That's how I lost more than 20% of my chips in the very beginning (with pocket Aces!).
That's tough you might have been up against a flopped straight or yes a set, but tough to say with no 3-bet pre. I likely would have played the call, you might have been up against KK,QQ or even Top Top. Yeah, later I thought I should have called, probably. A villain could have AJ, and would go all-in after flopping a Jack.
Although we'll never know the turn and river cards to be sure, the probability of me winning in that case was very high.
