The massive gain is definitely the main reason for people to be so interested investing in XRP. But as you above mentioned, don't do such mistakes, l think also that XRP is not as the best choice as expected. In my mind there are some altcoins which are absolutely more profitable than investing in XRP. Maybe it can be harder during this time, that is why the market has woken up and it can be more risky to invest in any altcoin. However, if you try finding some altcoin for investing, l think there are still some good altcoins.

With the huge possession of XRP coins of the team, be careful in buying this one even if they have massive gains in the market. MAybe you can do short term trading but long term holding, I don't think it is safe. But at the end of the day, it is your money. So you should know better about these centralized coins.
