I would suggest OP invests in BTC and ETH. $1k for BTC and $500 for ETH. The reason why we should invest in BTC is obvious, because it is the biggest coin in the market and completely suitable for newbie. On the other hand, the reason why we should invest in ETH is because it's increasing and having a great potential to pump shortly. Many people are believing in ETH and waiting for the pump!
