This has been going on for a while apparently. The way how it works is, the hackers will send phishing email's to various YouTube channel owners usually posing as a sponsor or a monetization company. The sad thing is, YouTube isn't doing anything to prevent these kind of attacks.

I've read somewhere that youtube are banning accounts because of these scam. However, they are failing in doing it right cause some of the youtubers they already banned are legit content creators. I guess they have to do it correctly. Some of the content creators they banned are great source of crypto news. I hope they find a way in finding the scam accounts accurately.
