It's kinda lot more than relatively high, fees are gaining record highs in the last few weeks. I hold Ethereum, this will pass, developers are already working on the problem. Now we have some bad days, but with solving fees, and upgrade that is coming Ethereum is still good for short and long term investing. Many good things wait for all Ethereum holders, just try to survive these hard times.
