A good politician knows how to handle both conviction and emotion in any situation given. He/she must know how to balance this characteristics and follow what he thinks right with the supports and recommendations of his/her colleague.

Apart from these 2 characteristics, a good politician has the ability to accept the state of what he represents, and has the will to listen to the voices of the people.
