Both Bairstow and Billings scored more than half the runs themselves, but the rest fell quickly which is why the English side must be pretty pissed with themselves.
Even for Australia the bulk of the runs was scored by Marsh and Maxwell and if not for that partnership they would not have scored the runs, the difference in the match was the bowlers.
Without Hazlewood, Australia could have easily lost this match. All the other bowlers were expensive, while Hazlewood conceded less than 3 runs per over in a match where the average run rate was almost double that figure. In two months, Australia will be playing a test match against Afghanistan. I expect Hazlewood to be included in the playing XI, along with Starc and Cummins.
Zampa bowled economically but he was taken for runs in the final overs when England were trying to go for boundaries and so is the case with Cummins as he gave away 15 runs in the 27th over and another 15 runs in the 49th over. Against Afghanistan i am sure Australia will be resting some of the key players.
Before Afghanistan West Indies is also going to Australia so they have some good time for these both series and mostly Australian's way is rotation policy so they will give chance to some new coming players for this series is good before big tour of India after these two pracitce series is good for them.
