It could be much worse for ETH, explanation: It's mostly "because" of DeFI (grouping of shitcoin under the Ethereum ecosystem) which generates more transactions than normal with the ethereum blockchain. Almost all DeFI projects have been created by individuals who are constantly forcing code to create coins whose value is skyrocketing and sometimes falling at lightning speed because they are obviously mass Ponzi schemes.

In any case, these Ponzi schemes are popular because they provide their creators with almost guaranteed short-term gains at the expense of shareholders who are completely ripped off en masse sometimes without any possible recourse.

However, these currencies have absolutely no use, use or real future. In other words, Ethereum and DeFi have no long term path to profitability because the way Ethereum is managed and marketed does not encourage a productive or progressive mindset.

This is also why costs are increasing, imagine if 7 billion users had to use ETH at the same time and the same goes for BTC which would be as a daily transfer medium . Well it would take 37 years to get a network confirmation and the ETH or even BTC fees for an immediate transfer would then be multiplied by X100000!!!!
