It could be much worse for ETH, explanation: It's mostly "because" of DeFI (grouping of shitcoin under the Ethereum ecosystem) which generates more transactions than normal with the ethereum blockchain. This is also why costs are increasing, imagine if 7 billion users had to use ETH at the same time and the same goes for BTC which would be as a daily transfer medium . Well it would take 37 years to get a network confirmation and the ETH or even BTC fees for an immediate transfer would then be multiplied by X100000!!!!

Compare to #BitcoinSV which with its big blocks, its ecosystem, its ultra low fees, its instantaneous spv technology, can largely accommodate 7 billion users and much more (iot transfers, push of artificial intelligence apps included).

But that few people know or accept it in the cryptosphere (sometimes eaten away by greed, absolute and relative jealousy).

Note that even BTC is limited since some entities (blockstream consensus, bitmain, gemini, binance etc...) have taken over absolutely the entire sphere of influence from production to final distribution of BTC under the cover of Chinese domination which takes advantage of it to generate colossal revenues.

The economic model on Blockchain is a serious disrupter that cleverly redistributes the cards to each user, individuals, companies, states and communities. So people's data really belongs to them from start to finish. No more GAFAs making money on user data without their knowledge or willingly, as is still the case everywhere in 2020.

Will the GAFA let this happen without batting an eyelid? I doubt it.

Adapt or shut down, they may use threats of mass layoffs, inaccessibility of information, or other schemes to further increase their dominance over states and compulsive dependent users.

Another possibility: imagine that the current Internet (obsolete in its protocols), the one we know, changes, evolves in its protocols and becomes the Metanet. The sinews of war here is not objectively money nor, incidentally, infrastructures, it is information, because whoever controls information (or access to it), dominates the real world and the digital world, since the two merge over the years, geostrategy is already locked.
