Really?  I thought he still had some sort of serious pull as far as the forum is concerned (though I'll admit I don't keep a close eye on forum politics).  How long has it been since Cobra hasn't been "associated" with bitcointalk?
Well, I'm not talking about influence, they can remain friends, it's their own business. Their paths finally parted ways a few years ago, theymos is not related to bitcoin.org and Cobra is not related to bitcointalk.ogr. That's why I assumed Alex is the only owner of the twitter account (since it's a bitcointalk asset).

News about what, though?  It's not like there's a hell of a lot going on here that deserves a tweet.  Plus, IMO Twitter is a piece of shit social media tool that does humanity more harm than good. I'd be just fine if bitcointalk had no Twitter, Facebook, or any other social media presence.  Its very existence is enough for me, and those other sites are just extraneous distractions.
Yes, I agree, as I said earlier and added in what form I see the publication of news.

And don't worry too much, we don't have many options. Either we learn something from what Satoshi said in a PM about forks and other controversial topics, or theymos will say that he destroyed this information, citing confidentiality. (which by the way is also not bad).

I'll probably release Satoshi's PMs and logged IPs addresses in ~8 years. This'd probably be of great historical interest. (Though he always used Tor, as far as I can tell.)
Anyway, such a tweet would be a surprise to everyone.
