The reward is only 0.97 each block and with not much development it proves money only needs to be scarce and simple and not part of some rocket science experiment. Malcolm is the reason we first lost to Gulden but Novo will be the reason e-Gulden becomes the true currency of the Netherlands with higher marketcap before 2021.

Most of the e-Gulden investors moved to Digibyte or GRS because of no development, e-Gulden has 50% premine with no development. Digibyte and GRS don't have a dev reward but the communities donate.
