No, for nicehash no additional parameters needed. I use:
--algo ETHASH --pool %POOL% --user %WALLET_TPL% --pass x

and all fine on 8Gb 580 cards.

Im assuming its amd pro driver 20.10, what version of linux do you use?

20.10 driver. Ubuntu 20.4
