@Febo it’ll be some sort of general announcement only, and they’re only hyping it up because they knew it would be ignored by the media due to the elections.

@nullius for every proof presented to you that moon does exists, you’ll be able to find proofs that it doesn’t exist, hence it’s very difficult to change your opinion about the moon.

Lastly in my personal opinion people should be free to follow any theory they believe in, till it doesn’t cause harm to the society and in this case it’s not causing harm to anyone so feel free to believe that moon doesn’t exist.
