That is an impressive feat, and if Crimea votes for independence or greater autonomy in the upcoming referendum then I would say he deserves it for averting a potential crisis.

I really doubt that most of those protesters in Maidan were actually ukrainians. I think, heard and read about a lot of evidence that those causing violence were mostly russian agitators. Adding in the possible russian snipers causing chaos, I'd say that he would be the least suiting politician candidate for such award.

So Russia hired protestors to take down the Russian supportive government and replace it with an anti-Russian government? Makes perfect sense...

Yes , a lot of sense.
If the transition of power would have been peaceful , or if nothing would have happened at all , there would have been no reason for Russia to intervene , right?
