Hearing those FUDs are really their weaknesses and then decided to sell their altcoins a soonest as possible. These people are no longer to survive in crypto if they often turn into a negative mindset.
I'm not going to say it was wrong about selling it today or just hold. The most important before making the final decision is to think wise and to be sure that there are no regrets after. People got this wrong and blame others or even themselves. And it is important to know the reason why having such a decision.

They do not know and less experience in cryptocurrency so its easy for panic selling assets when price is dumping, I think is not negative mindset from investor just have less experience with investing in cryptocurrency because they look easy for influence from to other to sell assets without hold, its happen when buying some coin on the top price because looks influence from the other investor to buy coin and they will sell after down and faced panic moment. After faced two time like this they will realize and know have make mistake and teach them how to be profitable in trading.
