In the US alone, an estimated 30–40 million people could be at risk of eviction in the next several months. Too many houses/commercial properties and not enough renters.

I believe that the problem is not about the renters amount/ quantity but because they can't pay their existing rents or taxes. So without incomes, it's more than logical not to afford to pay their "expenses". Not to mention that people are afraid to make any opening/ creation of a business.
