Yes, the excuse is old and lame, but lets not make quick conclusions. If this is a repeated "mistake", then the user is guilty. If based on their posting history they dont look identical, then better make a deeper research and make a verdict.

I don't think this is unconvincing. This address appears only once, and I have not found more matches.
This was likely the usual carelessness. Moreover, all other subscription applications for both accounts have different wallets.

Here something else is more interesting. And it has to do with the account @Xxmodded

He has an accusation in the meta section that this account was hacked. The owner was trying to find help from the community and most likely could have signed the message from the address that was posted earlier. BUT, unfortunately, the case was not continued.

Hello,
  Looking for some help...

-Was not able to login into my account
-Tried to Reset PW
-No email arrived
-Created New account
-Looked up my name and saw it was taken around a year ago

...and that takes us to now. I want to know how I can recover my account.

BTC Address

Thread containing screenshot with my BTC address in my signature:

And, apparently, the account remained in the wrong hands.
I would like to ask Xxmodded what happened to his BTC Address: 13VTdW8sUtJJ7AUUiMZd7Tg1SQFYKjKSXV?

Since after being accused of theft, this address never appeared anywhere in the history of this account.
It coincides in time that before the hack, the owner had little interest in the subscription companies, and after that, the topic changed dramatically.
I can only assume that the @Xxmodded account does not have a real owner.
