I also believe that Rohit Sharma can be a good replacement. But then, Virat has captained the Indian team for such a long time. Critics may argue that it can have a negative impact on team bonding and morale (although Rohit has been a regular member of the squad for many years). Apart from his decision making at the field, i am not impressed with coaching staff selection as well. We have Indian coach who acts likes cheer leader and his supporting staff are selected because they are loyalist. Bowling coach is good but others seems average. One example is Virat and Shashtri rejected Jonty Rhodes as fielding coach.
