Yes, there have been some coins IIRC one of those was 42 coin, it was worth much more than BTC in early days of crypto. And it dumped down so hard that it's now not even listed on any exchanges anymore. You should not go after any coin that's worth more against BTC but should rather check the volume availability of a coin that allows you liquidity, because if you can't liquidate your position anytime, it's not worth to invest in such coin/token.
