It has a uniquely designed smart contract that recreates Proof of Stake coin generation. So its not really doing anything new or interesting, and there's no reason for anybody to own it... unless you're hoping to dump it on someone else at a higher price in the future. There's already thousands of coins whose only fundamental value is the same -- no reason to enrich Heart or the sleazebags trying to emulate him.

crypto experts is referencing an inside joke from the hex telegram. Watch some of Richard Heart's streams and you will get a better understanding of hex and why something on the platform can exceed its value.

You say hex is doing nothing new or interesting. It was the first certificate of deposit on the blockchain. There are trillions of dollars in CDs in the real world. What other crypto can you lock your coins up for 15 years?
