I don't think Dominion was smart for filing this lawsuit.

I'm certain their understanding of the subject and the law as how it applies to them is significantly more advanced than yours.
It is generally not a good idea to make assumptions about people when you do not know their circumstances.

Oh, you were an executive, advisor or attorney for a voting machines company? Well pardon my mistake.

Actually no. Creditors make this decision all the time. If you are owed a million dollars from someone with no assets and no income, and you sue this person in court, all you will get is a worthless judgment and a bill from your lawyers. If the debitor wants to stick it to you, he might take actions to make you get a bigger bill from your lawyers.

If you think they haven't already thought this out from at least a dozen other angles that could never possibly occur to you then you are woefully mistaken. Don't worry about them, they know what they're doing.

I think you are the one who does not understand how the "law" (or specifically lawsuits) work. When you sue someone, you are opening yourself up to discovery and to being deposed.

You were insisting that Giuliani has any remaining relevance or importance as an attorney, which he does not. Dominion employees aren't going to be deterred by his threats. Again, don't you think they would have considered this already?

If this is the case, Dominion's lawsuit would be frivolous.

Not up to you to decide. Given the fact that you continue to trip over yourself to defend Trump's lies even as reality came crashing down around the both of you, I find your judgment to be extremely suspect. I certainly don't trust anything you have to say, and it's a shame if anybody ever takes your words at face value.

Dominion is claiming to have suffered $600 million in damages resulting from Guiliani's alleged defamation, but if Guiliani's statements were false on their face, there would be no damages.

This doesn't make sense. WHAT? You clearly understand what defamation means. Let me help you. This is defamation:

It doesn't matter if its partially false, wholly false, or "false on its face." It's both false and damaging, which is what matters as far as the actual law is concerned.

The first Element of Defamation according to D.C. law (where the lawsuit was filed) is:

Quote
1. the defendant made a false and defamatory statement concerning the plaintiff;

Just like your whole plan about how Trump was going to make sure Biden doesn't get to 270 electoral votes. It was all bumpkiss which I don't understand why you bothered typing up in the first place. This situation is no different. Hopes and dreams of the hopelessly ignorant.
