No. What I'm saying is, is it possible that his coin could have been a really good fake, with the added hologram of course.

I've been in and out of the physical crypto game since 2013 and own a variety. It would have to be the best fake hologram I've ever seen in my life, or a stolen original. I owned a Binary Eagle (before I peeled it) and the holograms were identical.

I would question the trouble of counterfeiting or duplicating a hologram on a coin that contains 0.001 BTC. If someone had this ability they would make a killing targeting Casascius or someone higher value coins instead. They wouldn't sweep $200 off of a coin and reveal their hand on purpose, which is what occurred.
