Yeah, losing investment do hurts but doesnt mean that you would really be blaming and whining off because you had lost your investment.
They wont be closing without valid reason and if they intent to make more then closing option will not be into their consideration.

Why he wouldn't be free to expose his loss? Does he owe you something?
