Dogecoin (DOGE) might look like a fun meme coin, particularly as its price has absolutely skyrocketed in 2021.

But behind the innocent Shiba Inu dog cartoon are some horrific stories. Those buying the cryptocurrency due to shilling and jokes from Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, most likely have no idea of DOGE’s early days.

Actually, after its price skyrocketed, it was taken seriously, before that it was considered as a meme coin. I didn't know the history of the dogecoin and all the details in the article mentioned were new to me mostly. I wasn't aware that there were auto tip bots for dogecoin in past, overall I must say a really good and brief article.

What actually surprised me was the number of views if the flag counter is genuine. There are almost 2M views from the USA alone and combined from all countries, the number would be quite big like 10million or so I guess.

I never hated dogecoin to be honest and in the past dogecoin actually helped me a lot in saving fees on transactions when I was depositing or sending coins to others. Also as a gambler, I spent a lot of dogecoin on gambling and it was always fun to bet so many coins, yet not so much in value. Only if I had all the coins I gambled away for fun, I would be damn rich.
