If we are so worried about prices of commodities like food going up, why don't we plat our own food, make a self sustaining garden to meet the daily needs, it can greatly cut your expenses because you don't need a lot of things to buy when you go to the market. I don't know the reason for your country to import tomatoes but maybe there is a shortage in the local supply or your country has an agreement with the other countries regarding imports.
