No. There was an article about a lawsuit against a Bitcoin mixer. Not sure how that story ended but someone (even the government) filing a lawsuit and alleging things doesn't make it a fact.

Let's take it one step backward out of a fallacy land. Privacy is not murder. Scammers would get away without mixers just fine (using XMR for example) and not having mixers would limit the choices for legal uses while doing nothing to stop the scams.
