Previously I only used MEW to store and make Ethereum transaction. I haven't tried the "MyCrypto" wallet because I don't need it so far. Maybe try it next time for some experience. While using MEW, I think we have had good experience managing our crypto asset based on Ethereum and to date MEW is still believed to be one of the best Ethereum wallet to date. I hope the OP can choice one of the recommended wallet. This should be based on need and a good level of security.

The one that makes mew lost popularity is years ago there's so many pishing sites copied their page and create similar domain to get people's private keys.
But if you know how to use it in secure way, it is the best one.
