Because in order to post in more popular subreddits, your account has to have certain amount of post karma, and in some cases they even ask you that your account is aged etc. So if you want to advertise your business/scam in some of them, of course it will look much better if you are using seasoned account that has been around for quite some time.

Okay now I get it, so basically this Reddit karma is an Internet points that will help you become more prominent in the platform and like any other platform that has clout, you can use Reddit as a type of advertising for stuffs like almost anything, now I know the reason why some people are being ridiculed for farming Reddit Karma. Am I getting it right?7
