People have often compared crypto to stocks since owning a coin, represents your "share" of the decentralized blockchain network. Exchanges act as brokers in a similar fashion to traditional stocks. As you may guess since we are in a bitcoin forum most people are going to prefer bitcoin over any other type of investment, the great advantage of stocks is that stocks can pay dividends unlike bitcoin, now some coins have tried to imitate this behavior but the problem is that they have done so by becoming PoS when we know the best way to secure the network is PoW and as such that is a compromise that we should never accept.
