Is there something happening with withdrawals right now? Both attempts I've made today went to 'pending', whereas they are usually processed instantly.

After all I have read here, seems like yet another book to avoid.
I wouldn't say that at all. They have been very reliable. 99% of my withdrawals have been instant. They may have something going on with the system right now or may be checking things manually. This is a good book for recreational players. My main complaint with this book is the lack of a dedicated support agent. We have to come here and usually wait hours/days to get a response. I also don't love the live betting platform where they have 30 seconds to decide whether to accept a bet or not, but I've learned to live with it.

We have correct it on both withdraals, and both your withdrawals were processed. (the first few minutes after requested, and the other just now - both manually)
