You can't compare both because bitcoin is a breakthrough of centuries, there was no digital currency until bitcoin was invented, Ethereum was just invented to improve some things and bring more innovation to the crypto space, both are great coins and started below a dollar and today they are worth a alot of money, also whether you like it or not eth or other altcoins will always follow bitcoin trend, it's never going to stop.

bitcoin is the first digital currency, when compared between bitcoin and ethereum, I think they are the pioneers of crypto currency. bitcoin seems to be the king and eth is the queen, so both seem to be complementary and worthy of investment. but indeed from 2017, ethereum provides profits with a higher percentage

Bitcoin is digital diamond. You can hold it, keep it and the price eventually rise. Bitcoin can survive on name alone and will always be worth more. ETH will just be bought and used more. Ethereum has actual uses, it has planned for the future. Ethereum is the future, it has so many things to offer to their users.
