It has been pointed out several times that this is a security feature, so Daniel is only doing this to protect his user base.
Imagine it the other way around: Someone would have gotten hold of your credentials and is now demanding that Daniel close the account and pay out the remaining BTC to a specific address. If Daniel would blindly trust the attacker, your coins would be gone in no time.
So yes, you should actually be grateful that Bustabit uses such measures.
The problem with some of the people is that they don't have enough patience to wait for about 2 weeks for something, in this fast paced world, 2 weeks of being idle isn't a thing that you can afford to do. Maybe this is the first time that they have experienced this thing so they aren't familiar and the feeling is alien to them.
I never encounter such issue but I also don't know on how do I react about the situation if this will occur to me so its good to understand what he's going thru since maybe he's in panic to see that his capital has been compromise but I can say that bustabit is good site and for sure can deliver what they tell to any of their costumers who got an issue.
The best thing to do now is to relax and wait for the timeline given and if they didn't do any action well maybe by that time its good to report the officials.
