I agree,but renewable energy production is still very expensive and BTC mining with renewable energy isn't profitable.Maybe after several years,when the new technologies get implemented and renewable energy production becomes cheap and efficient,BTC mining will switch to 100% green energy.
Storage of energy is also far away from the desired level.We need better Li-ion batteries,that will be capable of storing more energy for a longer time frame.
